Industry Resources
The world is full of misinformation, and it can be hard to know what to believe. Part of making healthcare accessible is making healthcare information accessible. These organizations are some of the pharmacy and healthcare resources that we trust to provide accurate and trustworthy information.
National Community Pharmacists Association
Founded in 1898, the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is the voice for independent pharmacy, representing over 19,400 pharmacies that employ more than 230,000 individuals nationwide. NCPA protects and promotes the interests of independent pharmacists whose current and future success is vital to their patients, their communities, and the entire health care system.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is the nation's leading science-based, data-driven, service organization that protects the public's health. CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the United States.
Pharmacists United for Truth & Transparency
Pharmacists United for Truth and Transparency (PUTT) is a non-profit advocacy organization and industry watchdog founded by independent pharmacists and pharmacy owners devoted to exposing the anti-competitive tactics of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).
PUTT has recently been monitoring Prescription Drug Affordability Boards (PDABs), which are state-level regulatory bodies created to address prescription medication costs. Their main goals are to ensure prescription drugs are affordable for residents and to curb excessive drug price increases. Unfortunately, their actions can cause more harm than good when it comes to pharmacies and their patients. Click here to learn more about PDABs.
